History of St. Paul’s Parish

History: This station was previously attached to Mala road, Kota. With subsequent expansion of the City and the spread of the Catholics to the Industrial areas, the facilities for the people had to be increased. So on the 30th June 1985, vallabh nagar area was separated from St. Joseph the worker Parish and a new station with a Hindi medium Primary School and a prayer hall was started. The church and the school were named after St. Paul. Gradually new class rooms were built and the school was raised to the High School level. In 2000-2001, new presbytery and 12 classrooms were constructed to meet the growing needs of the institution. The presbytery was blessed by the bishop on 29-04-2001. In April 2008, Class XI was started and class XII the following year.

Ever Since the creation of new parish, the people as well as the school had a lot of ups and downs. A number of dedicated parish priests worked hard to bring it what it is. Financial constrain was always a problem for a decent place of worship. With God's ever abiding providence and unparalleled love, with mother Mary's recommendation to her beloved son and the sacrifice, faith and commitment of the parishioners, we are able to have this beautiful place where God resides with us.

We fondly remember our loving priests who have served the people and nourished them with Bread from heaven. Rev. Fr. Cyril Lobo (R.I.P.); Rev. Fr. George D'Souza .I.P); Rev. Fr. John Chero (Texas. U.S), Rev. Fr. Cantius Ligoury, Rev. Fr. Amalnathan, Rev. Fr. Augustine Francis and Rev. Fr. Jose Kandanthott and all the assistant priests.

The parish has three consecrated religious community to enhance the work of our Lord and master. They are our own diocesan congregation turned papal, dedicated to simple life and service to the poor and the church.

The present church St. Paul’s Vallabh nagar was built by Rev. Fr. Jose Kandanthott with the blessings of Rt. Rev. Bishop Pius Thomas D’Souza, Friends and benefactors and was dedicated on 14th April 2015
